The cast of the original Metal Gear Solid have reunited for an unknown project, and while it’s probably not a new game, it’s fun to speculate!
David Hayter, the one and only voice of Solid Snake/Big Boss (sorry Kiefer Sutherland) revealed on his Twitter page that he and the fellow cast members’ reunion will “rock your world.”
“Look who I’ve been hanging out with. An epic reunion with the Metal Gear Solid cast to rock your world. Details coming soon,” said Hayter in his tweet [via GamesRadar].
In the tweet David Hayter also shared an image of a Zoom call featuring all the cast members that will feature in this unknown project. They include:
- Cam Clarke – Liquid Snake
- Christopher Randolph – Otacon/Huey
- David Hayter – Solid Snake
- Debi Mae West – Meryl Silverburgh
- Jennifer Hale – Naomi Hunter
- Josh Keaton – Major Ocelot
- Lori Alan – The Boss
- Paul Eiding – Roy Campbell
- Robin Atkin Downes – Kazuhira Miller
- Tasia Valenza – Sniper Wolf
The image of the Zoom call apparently also features some members of the press and a rep for a Celebrity Talent Booking agency, which might indicate that preparation is being made for an announcement.
The optimist in me hopes that they’re getting together to announce a full remake of the original Metal Gear Solid. If I was going to take a more subdued guess, I’d say that they might be getting together to work on some sort of documentary.
However with the recent announcement revealing Oscar Isaac (Star Wars and Dune) has been cast as Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid movie, perhaps this Zoom get-together has something to do with that?
