If a recent leak is to be believed, it seems 343 Industries’ upcoming FPS Halo Infinite could be getting two spin-off games.
The leaks come courtesy of Twitter account Gaming Leaks & Rumors, though as always with leaks and unproven rumours, take the suggestion with a pinch of salt until confirmed.

According to a series of tweets by the Twitter page, Halo Infinite will release over four chapters, spanning a total of a decade. The account has compared the release to that of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and it’s bit-by-bit game launches.
In the first of a series of tweets, Gaming Leaks & Rumors claims that: “343 plans to release 4 ‘chapters”‘ in the decade of supporting Infinite. 2 spin-off titles are currently in the planning stage.”
Halo Infinite was supposed to be an Xbox Series X|S launch title before it was delayed into 2021. However the reports suggest that 343 Industries aims to release the game between March and June of next year, though the date is said to be “not final”.
Going back to the alleged two Halo Infinite spin-offs, Gaming Leaks & Rumors claims that one of the two spin-off games will be Halo Wars 3. This makes sense as both the original games in the RTS series have been well-received from both critics and fans alike.
The story of Halo Wars 3 is believed to follow the perspective of Atriox, who is said to continue the battle of the Spirit of Fire after leaving Ark in Halo Wars 2.
Atriox is the leader of the Banished and is the main antagonist from Halo Wars 2, and will continue his villainous ways in Halo Infinite as revealed back in July during the gameplay showcase.
While we have no gameplay or genre details for the alleged second spin-off games for Halo Infinite, the other game is said to follow Fireteam Osiris during the events of Infinite.
Fans of the Halo series will recognise Fireteam Osiris from their role in Halo 2: Anniversary and more recently in Halo 5: Guardians, led by Jameson Locke.
I can only assume that this second spin-off Halo game might be a first-person shooter or it could even be a twin-stick shooter like 2013’s Halo: Spartan Assault (but that’s just speculation on my part).
Aside from the rumours of the two spin-off titles, Gaming Leaks & Rumors claims that the ending of Halo Infinite is yet to be finalised.
In fact, with the fear of fan backlash, the developer is apparently testing two possible endings as one ending is said to have “a major effect on the future of the franchise going from this game.” Let’s just hope that they don’t plan on killing the Master Chief.
Obviously at this stage all these reports are pure speculation and hearsay, but the details of the two spin-off titles are very believable in my opinion.
