Thanks to the 17 March State of Play, we’ve finally got a proper dive into the magical open-world, single-player RPG with a full release date! What is Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy is a single-player open-world RPG by Disney Infinity developer, Avalanche Software. Under Warner Bros. Games’ Wizarding World-specific publishing label, Portkey games, this will the first title venturing out of mostly Android and IOS-only games onto to console and PC.
A new Hogwarts student in the late 1800s, you’ll get to choose your own house; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin; and be at the centre of our own wizarding adventure in the same world as the Harry Potter books.
With your character’s unusual skill to master ancient magic, you’ll also be able to fully immerse yourself in life as a witch or wizard. Learn new spells, brew potions, upgrade your skills, befriend magical beasts, and alter events with the game’s morality system.
With your own customised character, you’ll make friends, fight evil wizards, and decide your legacy in a fight to save the wizarding world!
