Square Enix has released 13 minutes of new Life is Strange: True Colors gameplay footage, giving us the best look at the game yet.
Since its announcement at E3 this year, we have already seen a few videos for Life is Strange: True Colors. However, Square Enix has labelled this as an “exclusive first look at gameplay.”
To be fair to Square Enix, this is quite a meaty video featuring new gameplay footage and it is the most in-depth video we have seen so far for the new Life is Strange game.
According to the press release provided by Square Enix, we: “Take a walk through Haven Springs’ Record Store with Alex in this EXCLUSIVE first look at gameplay!
“Take a walk through Haven Springs’ Record Store with Alex in this EXCLUSIVE first look at gameplay! Explore the store, browse records, and meet two potential new friends along the way.”
Tragedy strikes in Haven Springs
In True Colors, we play as Alex Chen, who has a supernatural empathy ability to read people’s emotions from their aura. After eight years, Alex is reunited with her brother Gabe in the small Colorado mountain town of Haven Springs.
However, when tragedy strikes, Gabe is killed in an accident. Alex must unleash the power that she’s contained from others for so many years if she is ever going to discover the true events of her brother’s mysterious “accident.”
Life is Strange: True Colors will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia on September 10th. It will then launch for Nintendo Switch later in the year.
In related news, the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection was delayed into 2022. However, it wasn’t all bad news because the release of Life is Strange: True Colors DLC, “Wavelengths” took its place on the September 30th release date.
