Dying Light may be a bit of an older game now, but the new content is still coming! Developer Techland has just unveiled a brand-new trailer for the game’s next batch of DLC, entitled Hellraid.
What you might not know is that Hellraid was once planned as a standalone game from the devs. The game was (sadly) canned, though it’s nice to see it will live on in the form of Dying Light DLC.

Hellraid’s new teaser trailer, which you can watch below, bears the following description:
“Dying Light’s new DLC Hellraid will be your ticket to Hell and back No, it’s not a metaphor. You will be literally hacking through demonic hordes of Hell…
“It all started with an arcade machine survivors found in the Tower’s basement while investigating an odd power outage. None of them could remember seeing this strange device ever before. They moved it upstairs, unaware of its true nature.”
Not much else is known about Hellraid, but it’s coming this summer, so we don’t have to wait long to find out!

Hellraid should be good news for Dying Light fans, as the road to Dying Light 2 doesn’t seem to be getting any shorter. The unreleased game has faced delay after delay, though it’s still hoped the game will be landing at some point this year.
Sadly, 2020 is looking like more than just a slight hurdle for many game publishers and developers, due to the global pandemic of COVID-19. Whether or not the coronavirus outbreak is causing issues for Techland is unknown, but with so much of the gaming industry having been hit, it’s hard to imagine otherwise!

At least we’ll soon have Dying Light: Hellraid to tide us over until the launch of Dying Light 2!
