Yes you’ve read that headline correctly – you can now become a real-life Pokémon with this Metapod cocoon (or as good as as real-life Pokémon, if you want to get technical).
Have you ever wanted to become a real-life Pokémon only to find that biology just won’t allow it?
Have you ever found yourself so fed up that you don’t want to face the world today or that you just wanted to shut yourself out from the world and just “Netflix and Chill”?
Well worry no more, as the Metapod cocoon will allow you to do just that, because you can become the next-best thing with this Pokémon sleeping blanket created in Metapod’s likeness. Spotted by Nintendo Life, this thing looks like the stuff of dreams.
You can be fully clothed in business attire as demonstrated by the lovely model in the photos, or you can cocoon yourself by going commando. We don’t judge.
The Metapod cocoon comes in a generous size, measuring in at around one metre in height and 1.5 metres in length. Judging by the photos, the Metapod cocoon looks super snug and comfy.
Available exclusively in Asia via Premium Bandai the Metapod cocoon dubbed the “絶対に出たくない” which roughly translates to “I don’t want to go out” costs a cool 35,000 Yen which converts to about £250 GBP/$332 USD.
In the Metapod cocoon you can sit at a desk, on the sofa, lie on the floor or lean against a wall while being upside down. The world is your oyster when cocooned in the Metapod sleeping blanket!
With the Metapod cocoon being exclusive to the Asia region, it’s unlikely that we’ll see it released in the UK or the US, but we can dream.
